Candice Racheal Garrett, 33, of Howardwick passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. Graveside services were held on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Candice was born on October 4, 1985, in Jamestown, Tennessee, to Regina Garrett. Candice was a cashier in Clarendon and loved talking to her customers. She loved all animals; but most of all, she loved her children and family with all of her heart.
She is survived by two daughters, Meghan Squier and Jaymi Mitchell; her two sons, Kristian Mitchell and Rayden Fierro; her mother, Regina Garrett; her sister, Jessica Morgan and three brothers, Charles Wright, Anthony Wright, and Michael Garrett.

James was born September 24, 1984. He managed the Allsup’s in Clarendon. He was involved with his MMA friends who helped children in his community.


Blackburn said there appears to be no good motive for the crime at this time. He credited several agencies with assisting the Donley County Sheriff’s Office in making the arrest, including Amarillo Police Department and SWAT Team; the Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers, Highway Patrol, and CID; and the Carson and Oldham County sheriffs’ offices.
