The Childress District has completed phase two of the US 287 bridge project in Clarendon.
Beginning Jan. 6, 2026, a traffic switch will occur to transition the project into its third and final phase, weather permitting.
Demolition work for the third phase is scheduled to start on January 7. Drivers are encouraged to stay alert, observe posted signs and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
“We appreciate the public’s patience as we work to improve safety and mobility along this important corridor,” stated Louis McDow, Childress Area Engineer.
