The Lady Broncos played hard early in the week against Wellington but fell short at 56-62. They were able to get by Highland Park with a huge win at 82-4.
The ladies played hard against the Lady Rockets and led until the final quarter of play. Too many missed shots and turnovers cost the Lady Broncos in the end and Wellington was able to capitalize on them to get the win.
Kenidee Hayes played a stellar game and finished with 24 points that included going 10 for 10 from the free throw line, and Cambree Smith was three for three. Overall, the ladies converted 21 of 23 bonus shots for an impressive 91 percent. Presley Smith convert five of six, and Berkley Moore put in three of four.
The Lady Broncos’ three-point shot was off from their normal percentages, with Moore putting in the only three. Moore and Kate Shaw finished with eight, and P. Smith had seven. C. Smith put in five, and Gracie Ellis and Madi Benson added two each.
The game with the Lady Hornets was a runaway for the Lady Broncos, and Highland Park could not stop them on either ends of the court.
P. Smith had 18, C. Smith put in 14, Moore had 15, and Millie McAnear finished with 10. Ellis and Benson had nine; Shaw finished with seven.
The Lady Broncos will have a bye on January 16 and host Panhandle on January 20 at 6:30 p.m.
