Enterprise Publisher Roger Estlack was elected as the first vice president of the Texas Press Association during the organization’s annual convention in Dallas last weekend.
Estlack is the fourth generation of his family to work in the newspaper business and has been publisher of the Clarendon paper since 1995, carrying on a business started by Rev. L.H. Carhart in 1878. In 2025, the Estlack family also acquired The Red River Sun (now The Greenbelt Intrepid), covering Childress, Hall, and Collingsworth counties.
Also leading TPA this year will be Chairman Lisa Chappell of the Greenville Herald-Banner, President Yvonne Mintz of The Facts in Clute, Second Vice President Kelli Barnes of the Polk County Enterprise, and Treasurer Ana Cosino of The Navasota Examiner.
Founded in 1880, TPA is one of the nation’s oldest and largest newspaper trade associations. TPA represents more than 450 newspapers with the goal of preserving and promoting the future of newspapers in the state.
