Clarendon’s sales tax revenue surged ahead and set a new record for June revenue when Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock distributed June allocations this month.
The city posted a 14.63 percent gain compared to the same period last year with revenue of $52,370.64. The city is up for calendar year-to-date 3.22 percent to $280,948.61.
Hedley saw its monthly sales tax revenue increase 3.42 percent to $998.15, and that city is up 8.27 percent for the year at $9,136.78.
Howardwick’s sales taxes were also up in June, increasing 3.46 percent to $1,880.53. The lakeside city is trailing for the year, however, down 8.62 percent at $10,900.50.
Donley County Assistance District 1 in Howardwick to support law enforcement was down 2.29 percent to $1,462.83 and down 1.02 percent for the year-to-date at $7,732.48.
Donley County Assistance District 2 in the unincorporated areas of the county brought in $6,038.95 for the month and has collected $41,599.99 for the calendar year-to-date in its first year of operation.
Highway neighbors Memphis was down 7.3 percent at $33,554 for June while Claude was up 285.9 percent to $82,775.52. Armstrong County was up 2,017.89 percent to $222,402.05 this month.
June allocations are based on sales made in April by businesses that report tax monthly.
