Clarendon High School’s Addy Havens keeps running hard and added a second-place finish at ‘The Cross’ cross-country meet in Groom last weekend in a field of 31 competitors.
Havens ran the two-mile course in a time of 13:32.18 which was only just over 20 seconds off the winning time. Havens continues to get stronger and is dedicated to her sport.
Tristen Ybarra is serious about cross-country as well and took fifth place in the meet at Groom. Ybarra’s time of 17:52.40 was less than a minute behind the first-place finisher in a field of 41 runners.
Jeremiah Shelley also ran a good race crossing the finish line in 14th place with a time of 20:06.68 and Brayden Goodwin was 30th at 24:22.68.
Two junior high Colt athletes competed in the meet with August Pearson running 6th with a time of 13:52.72 in a field of 39 runners. Paul Berry ran the course in a time of 13:57.93 for 8th place.
The Broncos and the Colts will participate in the Greenbelt Gallop on Tuesday at Greenbelt Lake.
