The Clarendon High School FFA Livestock Team competed at the Texas Tech Invitational Livestock contest this past weekend. Team members are Jacob Pigg, Jayson Pigg, John Pigg, Tres Hommel, and Tylee Williams. The team placed eighth, and there were 137 teams competing. 2012 presidential politics hit Clarendon Tuesday when Republican candidate John Davis (pictured right) rolled into town about noon. The campaign passed out information downtown, and Davis, shown here with Dee Dee and Frank Hommel, made a brief appearance at the Clarendon Lions Club meeting before heading to his next stop in Wellington.
