Two Donley County pleas were heard by the 100th Judicial District Court when it met in Childress County on June 11.
District Attorney Luke Inman, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the state, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe, Jr., presiding.
Alejandro Silva, 19 from Dallas, was placed on two years’ probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.
Donley County Sheriff’s Deputy Brain Stevens arrested Silva on March 5, 2025. The Donley County Grand Jury indicted Silva on August 18, 2025.
Silva was ordered to pay a $4,000 fine, $400 in attorney fees, $340 in court costs, $180 lab restitution fee, and complete 100 hours of community service. If revoked, Silva faces up to one year in county jail.
Earnest Chase Morales, 24, from Show Low, Nev., was sentenced to two days in the Donley County Jail for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument.
DPS Trooper Lynn Hudson arrested Morales on June 20, 2025. The Donley County Grand Jury indicted Morales on June 1.
Morales was ordered to pay an upfront fine of $4,000 fine, $305 in court costs upfront, and $180 lab fee restitution upfront.
